BioDiT Citrus: Exhibit 14: Patterns of Dispersion and Survivorship

EXHIBIT 14

Once you understand how population growth can be modeled, your next step in understanding population ecology is to think about how populations are distributed in both time and space.  Spatial distribution of population is all about dispersion -- how individuals within a population occupy space within their ecosystem.  Temporal distribution of populations is about survivorship -- how an organism's likelihood of survival is affected by its age.  Look for Issue #2 of Herbert & Beatrix: Lovebugs at Large for a guided tour of these two important ecological topics!

Exhibit under construction.
Expected opening date is April 4, 2025.
