BioDiT Citrus: Exhibit 05: Terrestrial Ecosystems & Climate

EXHIBIT 05

Biological communities called ecosystems form the foundation of ecology as a science.  Understanding how energy moves through ecosystems *and* how ecosystems resources can be available to humans requires knowledge of ecosystem structure. This includes the physical structure of ecosystems, how climate shapes that structure, and how geography influences climate.  This exhibit will introduce you to the structures of terrestrial ecosystems and the role of vegetation in shaping those ecosystems.
