BioDiT Citrus: Exhibit 07: Ecology and Economics in Citrus County

EXHIBIT 07

While Citrus County is nothing like Orlando, Tampa-St. Pete, Miami, Jacksonville, Panama City, Daytona, or the Keys, its economy is still grounded in tourism...particularly ecotourism.  (Can you say, Manatee Capital of the World?)  This means that ecology and economics intersect in important ways locally.  Here is your chance to learn more about Citrus County's economy, its natural beauty, and the people, places and organizations that make it run.

In the videos below, you can learn about connections between eco-tourism and the broader economy, the promotion and future of tourism (with thanks to Discover Crystal River!), and see the full spectrum of our natural beauty.  From the coastal parks and rivers around Crystal River and Homosassa, to the Tsala Apopka lakes and forests around Inverness, this is Citrus County, from Gulf to Lakes.
