Basic Library Tech Support Tips
Computer Login Issues
- Clear the entire username or password field and retype; there may be errant spaces that are not visible.
- Try logging out and logging back in again.
- Check to be sure you are connected to the Wi-Fi. If you have trouble finding where to do this, type cf.edu into the browser; this will pull up the single sign/guest sign on screen.
Canvas Cloud Storage
- No flash drive? Use Canvas cloud storage.
- Canvas cloud provides 2GB of free storage.
- To access the cloud storage, go to the Account tab located in Canvas left navigation menu, and select Files.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl + Shift + T = Reopen a closed tab
- Ctrl + C = Copy
- Ctrl + V = Paste
- Ctrl + F = Find (to search within a document or web page)
- Ctrl + Z = Undo
- Ctrl + O = Open
- Ctrl + W = Close a tab
- Windows Key + left or right arrow = split your screen
