What are Library databases?

Library databases are a collection of online resources purchased to aid students in conducting research. Resources include streaming videos, newspaper articles, magazine articles, eBooks, academic journal articles, and literary criticism. The CF Library subscribes to many different databases, each offering different content; so you will want to choose databases that are most useful for your research question/s. Databases are searchable alphabetically or by subject and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection and your log-in credentials.

Logging into the Library

Because databases contain expensive, published content, students must log into use them in accordance with the licensing agreements between the college and database vendors. To access databases and your Library account, and read articles and eBooks, you will need your Borrower ID = Your CF ID number, and your PIN/Password = last 4 digits of your social security number. You can also log in through the MyCF portal with your CF ID number and MyCF password [Library in Quick Links box, left margin]. Call 352-854-2322 x1345 for assistance.
