3D Printers

The Innovation Center’s 3D printers constitute an invitation to create, learn, and explore, in order to further our students' educational goals. They may be used only for lawful purposes.

Prior to use, users need to read the Policies, 3D Terms & Conditions:, and other information on the following tabs.

3D Printing Terms & Conditions:

  • CF students & staff can request to print by submitting a print request to the CF Citrus Campus Library Staff. The Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.
  • Any print job taking more than 2 ½ hours must be requested in advance and will be printed after hours. CF Library will not accept any print jobs taking more than 5 hours unless curriculum-related.
    • To request curriculum-related work, faculty should get in touch with a Manager: Edith Ramlow (ramlowe@cf.edu)
  • Items printed from the Library 3D printer that are not picked up within 7 days will become property of CF Innovation Center.
  • Items must be picked up by the individual who requested them. Please have you CF  ID  card ready.
  • Only designated CF Library staff or those who completed training will have hands-on access to the 3D printer.
  • Education, assistance, and supervision of the 3D printer by CF Library staff does not constitute knowledge, or acknowledgement, of any unapparent or inappropriate final use of the 3D product, and CF Library specifically disclaims any knowledge thereof.
  • CF Libraries and staff are not responsible for the success or lack thereof the printing job.
  • While CF staff will endeavor to do so, they are not responsible for safe storage of printed items.

Download item to print from thingiverse or other site. Unzip/extract file. Rename file as:

Last Name, First Initial, CF ID #, [1 - 2 word description of print]

Go to:

  1. cloudprint.makerbot.com
  2. workspace management tab
  3. Sign in w/ email
  4. Cloudprint.makerbot.com/print
  5. Go to print prep tab
  6. Click Import option
    1. File
    2. Opens browse popup
    3. Select file to print
  7. Adjust as needed
    1. Plus/minus indicators will rotate print
  8. Print preview
  9. Select printer
  10. Click queue to send to printer
  11. Click workspace management tab
  12. Click name of item to print
    1. Will show print review – last chance for changes or cancelling print!
