Many library items may be borrowed for offsite use. Some are only available for use in the library.

Enrollment at CF covers library use at all CF campuses. All current CF students are welcome to visit the CF Citrus Campus Library and enjoy our services.

We serve all current CF students, including:

• students taking classes at Ocala, Levy, Citrus, and other CF campuses
• online, virtual, or distance learning CF students
• dual-enrollment students taking CF classes

Employment at CF covers library use at all CF campuses. All current CF faculty and staff are welcome to visit the CF Citrus Campus Library and enjoy our services.

We serve all current CF faculty and staff, including:

• those teaching or working at Ocala, Levy, Citrus, and other CF campuses
• online, virtual, or distance learning CF faculty

Current CF students may use the library's printer/coper machine during open hours. All library and tutoring computers are connected to the printer/copier. 

All payments need to be made electronically.

WiFi at CF may be accessed by current CF students, faculty, and staff. A temporary log in may be requested by guest speakers, etc.

Connect to WiFi by:

1. Click network icon.
2. Connect to CFNET.
3. Open internet browser

Sign in for Guests and Future Students:

1. Click "Request Guest Login"
2. Fill out request form
3. A guest log in is sent to your email.

Use a library computer to check your email for login information.

Databases

CF Library has over 100 databases devoted to millions of topics. The databases may be accessed from a patron's device, through any available internet. Databases contain articles and journals. Many of these are scholarly, peer-reviewed, and are available in full text.

Current CF students, staff, and faculty may book Citrus Library study rooms. Rooms may be booked in advance or just before use.

• Rooms are open for advanced bookings. Timeslots may be seen up to 2 weeks in advance.
• Minimum booking time: 30 minutes
• Maximum booking time: 3 hours  

• Maximum occupancy per room: 8 people

All study rooms are equipped with white boards, markers, and media stations. Extra whiteboards and markers are available to borrow.

All study rooms may be used for online CF class meetings.

Tables are open areas that are multi-use.

Patrons may walk in and use tables to read, organize materials or projects, and more.

Several tables are set up as relaxation stations. Patrons may enjoy games of chess and checkers, word search, coloring pages, or piece together a puzzle. More games and puzzles are available in the library's Innovation Center.

Each table has 4 outlets available for charging equipment.

eBooks:

Over 100,000 ebooks are available to read on laptops, tablets, and other eDevices. Titles are frequently added to our collections. 

EBooks may be accessed through the library's online catalog. The collection is available on and off-campus, anywhere a patron's device has internet. EBooks may also be viewed on any library computer.

Many ebooks have an audio option.

Streaming Videos (eVideos, electronic videos, etc.)

The streaming electronic video collection has 80,000 available to view, with more videos added all the time.

Streaming videos may be accessed through the library's online catalog. The collection may be available on and off-campus, anywhere a patron's device has internet. Streaming videos may be viewed on any library computer.

Journals

Academic Journals may be found on the Library Databases. These items discuss a variety of subjects and topics. Journals typically contain academic, peer reviewed, scholarly articles.

Access to journals is covered by enrollment or employment at CF. Journals may be viewed by current CF students, faculty, and staff.

Newspapers

Newspapers are available in print or electronic format. Print editions may be read in the library. Electronic editions may be accessed 24/7 by anyone currently enrolled or employed at CF.

Electronic newspapers may be accessed through the library databases. A full list of newspapers is available in the library databases.

Historical archives of select newspapers are available in electronic format.

Articles

Scholarly, peer-reviewed, full-text articles may be accessed by current CF students, faculty, and staff. Access to articles is covered by current enrollment or employment at CF.

24/7 access available anywhere with internet.

Magazines

Magazines are available in print or electronic format. Print editions may be read in the library. Electronic editions may be accessed 24/7 by anyone currently enrolled or employed at CF.

Videos

Videos are available in dvd, bluray, or streaming format.

Blurays and DVDs may be borrowed for off-campus viewing for one week. Current CF students, staff, and faculty may request blurays or DVDs from CF library locations, plus local, national, and global libraries.

Five bluray or DVDs may be borrowed at one time.

Active borrowed titles will show on a patron's library MyAccount, under the borrowed slots. To free up slots and borrow more videos, patrons may return their borrowed videos to any CF Library location.

Video viewing stations are available at all CF Library locations.

Borrow items for onsite or off-campus use from any CF Library. For current CF students, staff, and faculty.

Students Borrow:

• Books for 3 weeks (your Library MyAccount holds up to 20 titles at a time)
• Videos for 1 week  (your Library MyAccount holds up to 5 titles at a time)
• Select Equipment for 2 weeks  (your Library MyAccount holds up to 3 items at a time)
• Requested items from other academic or public libraries
• If the limit on borrowing items is reached, please return some items to borrow more

Faculty, Adjuncts, and Staff Borrow:

• Books for 1 semester
• DVDs for 3 weeks
• Select Equipment for 1 semester
• Request items from other academic or public libraries
• If the limit on borrowing items is reached, please return some items to borrow more

Borrowing

Borrow and request items at no cost from this library and others:

• Includes all CF Library locations, academic libraries, + public libraries
• Items are sent to your preferred CF campus for pickup
• Items available for pickup any time during library hours
• Return items to any CF Library location

Borrowing:

• Patrons may borrow items from any CF Library, plus request items from other libraries
• There is a maximum amount of items that a patron may borrow any one time
• To free up slots and borrow more items, patrons need to return items they have borrowed
• Includes option to borrow items from libraries around the world

Requests:

• Request items from any CF Library and other libraries
• Worldwide request feature!

• Requested items arrive at the CF Library specified by the patron

Request from CF Citrus shelves:

Save time! Use the Library Catalog and Discovery Tool to place requests for items on CF Citrus Campus Library shelves. Library staff gather the items and prepare them for pickup the next time the patron visits the library. 

Request from other CF Library and other Florida academic locations:

• Use the Library Catalog and Discovery Tool to request items from CF Ocala and other Florida academic libraries

Request from libraries worldwide!

• Use the WorldCat Discovery database to request items from academic and public libraries from around the world.

Deliveries:

Deliveries may include items requested from libraries. All requested items are delivered to the CF campus and then processed for patron pickup.

CF inter-campus library deliveries typically run twice a week.

FL libraries outside of CF may take a minimum of 1 week to deliver item(s) from the date of a request.

Out of state libraries may take a minimum of 2 weeks to deliver an item from the date of a request.

Please plan requests, etc. accordingly.

Returning Items:

Many items borrowed from CF Library locations may be returned at any CF Library location.

CF Library locations provide areas inside and outside the library for item returns.

Inside the library, items may be returned at any of the main Help Desks or placed in the interior bookdrop.

For returning items outside of library hours, a bookdrop is available at the CF Citrus campus, outside of Bldg. 2, next to the main staircase.

Equipment needs to be returned to the CF Library a patron borrowed it from.

Non-returned/Lost Items

If an item is not returned to the library by its due date, the item is noted as being overdue. If an overdue item is not returned, the item is considered lost. 

Please note that if items are not returned to CF Libraries, the following may occur:

• Patron will be billed the full cost of the items
• College of Central Florida’s collections agency will receive information regarding the lost items
• Patron may encounter difficulties registering for future classes, etc.

Please note that items that are not returned, lost, stolen, or damaged while borrowed by a patron are considered the patron's responsibility and all standard replacement costs will apply, regardless of what library the item was borrowed from.
